All you need to know about weight loss diet plans

Overweight or obesity is considered by many people as the biggest problem faced by them as the present generation is very health conscious. Numerous medications and tips to lose weight fast are coming out continuously to satisfy the needs of these people. But none of them have been proved to be really satisfactory.  In this article, I am going to consider the two most popular weight loss diet plans and explain which one is the better one based on scientific evidence and studies conducted. They are a vegetarian diet and the conventional diabetes diet.

A study was conducted by the American College of Nutrition for a period of six months and the group included 74 patients who were taking oral medication for type 2 diabetes. The participants were divided to the two groups on random basis. During the first three months, there were asked not to change their physical activities and during the next three months, aerobic exercise was added in their routine.

This study on diet for weight loss was published in the journal of the college. It has emphasized that a vegetarian diet is better than the conventional diabetic diet in helping the patients with type 2 diabetes to lose weight. The research report has reiterated that a vegetarian diet is useful in reducing the muscle fat that helps to improve metabolism. Type 2 diabetes can be developed at any age but the most probable period of its occurrence is the middle ages. This condition is developed when the body does not produce enough insulin or make use of the insulin produced by it effectively.

The experiments have shown that a vegetarian diet group lost 6.2 kgs as against the weight loss of 3.2 kgs experienced by the conventional diet group. This amazing result was obtained when members of both the group consumed equal calories per day. The study also has shown that the subcutaneous fat reduction in both groups were almost similar. The vegetarian group showed more reduction in intramuscular fat.

Dr. Kahleova who was part of the research explained that taking extra fat out of cells of muscles is helping the insulin to convert sugar into energy.  The doctor also opined that the effect of a vegetarian diet is something like metabolic reboot, for those struggling with extra body weight or type 2 diabetics or sluggish metabolism.  In short, one can conclude that plant-based vegetarian diet is a helpful tool for anyone who wants to stay fit, healthy, and lean. In short, the vegetarian diet can be given the first place in the tips to lose weight fast.
