2016 Wedding Trends

The 2016 wedding season is already in full swing, and if you are a new bride to be, you will be looking for all of the new and wonderful things that you can pick through when you start planning your wedding. With a new year, brings new ideas and trends, and besides booking the wedding celebrant for your ceremony, there are many other things to worry about. Knowing what some great trends are will help you save time on planning.

One thing that is really making its way around is metallic colours for your colouring scheme. Anything from gold, copper, rose gold, bronze, etc, is very popular this year already. Whether it is the tablecloths, napkins, or even the dresses, having a bold metallic colour for the wedding is certainly one way of getting noticed. If you go for metallic though, silver is becoming less popular.

Another great wedding trend this year is having a floral spread that is minimalist, in season, and elegant. Gone are the days of bright coloured flowers, just for the sake of it. No we are seeing more all white bouquets, or smaller bouquets that focus solely on in season flowers. This trend certainly helps to cut down on the flower budget. And if you are not into flowers, another growing trend is using just greenery or feathers. Who says that you have to carry a bouquet of flowers: You can also use ferns and other small greens for a fresh look.

One other trend this year is a more mix and matched centerpiece style. Long gone are the days that people match all the centerpieces on their reception tables. Now, it is not uncommon to see two or three different designs for centerpieces that are spread around the reception all. This creates more of a diverse look and helps to break up the monotony that can sometimes come about in decoration.

Whether you are just starting planning or you are looking to start later this year, you want to jump on the bandwagon of some of these new wedding trends. These will ensure that you have a lovely wedding that is both classic and in style at the moment. After you get that wedding celebrant booked, and you do all of the planning for your marriage ceremonies in Melbourne, you will be happily walking down the aisle in no time at all. And when you do, you will start your marriage a very happy bride.
